Like is it supposed to be a sign of his earnestness or something? Or do they just not care? Or are they so far removed from reality they think he’s a competent orator?

We’re more concerned with what he has to say than how well he says it.

^ It’s why I’d rather read his books than listen to him speak.

I like reading his books. They have the same personality as when he talks, but better organized.
Personally, though, I’ve never had trouble understanding him speak. It is just a possibility that I already know what he’s going to say.
